| New Features | Developed specifically for the "Comp and Con" (Composition and Conversation) course, this text is ideal for use as a core text or as a supplement to a composition or conversation text. The Nuevos Destinos video series is integrated into each chapter, providing an engaging story from which topics and questions are culled for students to explore as they work through each chapter. The text helps develop students’ speaking and writing skills in Spanish. The Virtual reality CD-ROM was developed for use with this program. The CD places students in an office environment. Students complete tasks while "working for" Raquel Rodriguez, the protagomist from the video. Nota Cultural boxes in each chapter address the topic of "communication" within a Hispanic and Spanish-language perspective. A recurring realia feature serves as a springboard for student conversation.
